Home again...

I am back from Spain, after spending a week at 39 degrees... not used to the heat anymore... I met with representatives for our two dress suppliers and I ordered our Summer 2010 collection... The dresses were sooo gorgeous... I think I overdid it a bit and I ordered far more models that I was planning to... Have lots of explaining to do to my partner :-)
But I am really happy with my choices... I also ordered a few more boys' outfits, matching the girls' dresses... those with twins are going to love them... And cute knitted pants and swimsuits...
Everything very colourful and classy... I can't wait to receive them...
What we do have now is part of our Winter collection, which should be available on the website in the next few weeks...
The Beauty did her fair part of modelling in the beautiful old streets of Baeza, my hometown... She now knows what's expected from her and she is finally starting to pose and smile for the camera... Still hard work chasing after her, specially when she decides to follow stray cats...
I've got a very busy time ahead, doing the inventory, uploading everything to the website, and chasing our other suppliers, who is late again this year delivering the winter collection...
I will try to do as much as I can before going on holiday next Friday! Can't wait to get away again! :-) Proper holiday this time...

Nectarina's New Year Resolutions...

Well.... It's now 2009 and what New Year Resolutions do we have at http://www.nectarina.co.uk/? First, and most important, of course: to continue to offer all the mummies out there the opportunity to get gorgeous dresses and shoes for their little misses at amazing prices. To offer quality, style and originality for those stylish and demanding little madams.
We commit to work even harder to provide the best customer service possible. We closed 2008 with 100% customer satisfaction (based on the numerous positive feedback forms from delighted customers) and we intend to continue that way.
We are looking for new pretty things to add to our collection. We are in talks with new suppliers to be able to provide accessories such as hair clips and hats. Always with the high quality and dedication of leading Spanish firms.
We have already ordered our Summer 2009 collection and we are happy to confirm that new sizes have been added to our range. Our dresses will now range from 6 Months to 6 Years. And our shoes will go up to size EURO 26 (UK 8.5). That will keep some of our current and prospective customers happy....
We are very happy with the success of Nectarina page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/pages/wwwnectarinacouk/15873080870?ref=nf and we are already planning new and exciting competitions for our fans, so keep tuning in!
We have a very busy year ahead and we hope to be able to share it with you.

How is that?

What's in a dress?

I am pretty sure everyone likes their little girls dressed in pretty dresses. Who wouldn't? A pretty dress makes a little girl look... well, girly, special, innocent... I don't know... It's so difficult to find proper pretty dresses for girls these days... I know they grow up fast, I know they get them filthy when running around in the playground... but still, there are so many special occasions when they can wear a pretty, girly, floaty dress... That's the joy of having a baby girl, isn't it? What's the point of having a baby girl if you are going to dress her like a tomboy? Nearly every expectant mum longs for a baby girl so she can dress her up in pretty flowery numbers...
And then you go to the High Street looking for that special dress for your little bundle of joy... and what do you find? Black skirts with skulls all over? I have seen these in a shop, for very young girls... why? Won't they have time to become sulky teenagers in a few years time? Why start treating them like that at the tender age of 3?
A dress is a dress, and a girl will always look like a little girl in a dress, not like a mini-teenager. And I am not talking about pink, frilly dresses. I am talking about stylish, not too girly, beautiful dresses, for every occasion. Well, I know, I am a bit biased... That's what I do for a living... I source those beautiful dresses all over Spain. I choose from among hundreds of models. I bring them over to the UK, give them names, and get to offer them to the very lucky mums who access our website.
And that's what the essence of Nectarina is. Nectarina offers proud mums the chance to make their little daughters dazzle at family parties and special occasions. Nectarina has brought breath of fresh air to the saturated childrenwear market. Nectarina will make your daughter feel special and unique.
And who doesn't want that for their little girl?
